Bourbon Pork Tenderloin

I found a version of this recipe on MyRecipes.com. It requires marinating for 12 hours, so prep this one the night before. It is a very savory pork dish. I cut the salt, because it seemed too much with the amount of soy sauce in the original.

  • 4 to 5 pound pork tenderloin
  • 1 1/4 cups soy sauce
  • 1 cup bourbon (I use Jack Daniels, always)
  • 1/2 cup Worchestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup light type of cooking oil such as canola
  • 6 to 8 minced garlic toes
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  1. Combine all ingredients except port and salt, in a sealable container Wisk to combine.
  2. Add pork, seal or cover, and chill for 12 hours.
  3. Remove pork from marinade, and discard liquids. Sprinkle pork with salt.
  4. Grill, covered with lid, at 400-500 degrees for 30 minutes, until a meat thermometer reads 155. Turn occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat, cover with foil and let stand until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees (about 10 minutes).
approximately 10 - 12 servings
